Default Room Doodle 3

This was a test render for the floor material I made using Filter Forge, a very useful texture creation utility

hi Pete, nice render.

you'll generally get better bump results with normal maps. you can get a free normal map filter creator for photoshop somewhere. vray likes normal maps

here is a version with a normal map and some grain detail on the floor.

Did you use grain detail in the first two pics or is the grain popping out because you are using a normal map?

The new flooring looks more natural. BTW, nice rendering.

The first two renders did not have any grain detail, on something this subtle there is very little difference using bump or normal maps, thanks,
Peter
